2001 Coche Dury Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru
MOST EXPENSIVE WHITE....
This was the most expensive white wine I've tasted to date, and it wasn't rated 5 stars! Coming from a land of 0.34 hectares, producing merely 1100 to 1500 bottles a year, thus the rarity was pushing the price crazily north.
Palate wise wasn't as impressive as the price tag, it was almost coated with a layer of oil, and during the blind tasting I exclaimed that it tasted like a Corton Charlemagne, but my stupid brain refused to acknowledge it was a Coche Dury Corton Charlemagne!
