2001 Faustino Rioja Gran Reserva I
SPANISH GRAND RESERVA?
This bottle was served double blind, guesses were all over the place, I thought it was CDP due to the relatively heavy alcohol content, and also a bit of charred wood. The palette was balanced, pleasant and easy going even though it's still slightly tannic. However it was slightly diluted towards the end. I really can't tell this as a Grand Reserva, nothing of my description points to Grand Reserva?! So, how does one differentiate? Can someone here please enlighten me?
