Read my previous post, I was already impressed with the 2000 vintage, when the 2001 hit me, I had a delayed reaction, it wasn't immediately noticeable that it was a great wine. I kept comparing the 2000 & 2001, at certain split of time, suddenly it was 7 1 soccer scores, the 2001 simply put the 2000 to shame! Style wise it was pretty similar to 2000, only with deeper taste and flavor. The primary difference was really the stamina of this 2001, keeps going on when the 2000 ran out of steam!
