2001 La Rioja Alta Viña Ardanza Reserva Especial
NICE RIOJA
I wasn't exposed to too much Spanish wines, but when a great one hits me, I pay full attention to it! Vina Ardanza was not a big label to boot, but this 2001 vintage really caught my attention, not sure if the Reserva Especial made any difference.
Really pleasant, soft and absolutely friendly on a sip, with all the classic Rioja notes encapsulated; tobacco, leather, red fruits. Nice QPR as well. Hope you can find some!
