2001 Pichon Baron Pauillac
DUBIOUS VINTAGE
I bought some ribeye for BBQ, was wondering what strong wine I should drink, and my eyes fixed on this Pichon Baron since it was a male chauvinist.
Had a sip after decanting, nose was cooked fruits, palate was so tight that the fruits was tasteless. Waited an hour to observe again, found that nose has evolved tremendously to be floral fragrance, no more cooked fruits. Palate was loosened, but flavor was really subdued, not showing much fruits. I guess it has to be cellared for a decade.
