2002 Jean Boillot & Fils Monopole Clos De La Mouchere Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru
MILDLY CORKED
Upon serving a glass in blind format, we all declared the bottle as slightly corked, which was quite uncommon for white burgundies. Oh well, cork taint can't differentiate whether you're red or white!
As such, the content was greatly affected, as I only had two simple scribbled notes for it: shallow taste and simple.
I have had this bottle before in the past, should've been rich, fruity and bold style. Too bad for tonight's outcome.

JEAN IS HENRI BOILLOT
This is a monopole plot owned by Henri Boillot, who changed name of his grandfather Jean in 2005 to Henri Boillot to avoid confusion of Jean Marc Boillot. I love this plot, having tried the 2005, I was blown off by the wine so I hunted for more. Finally came across 2002 and snapped it up without a thought. Warp me to a field of ripe lemons, that's how the nose was like. Palette was only extremely ripe fruits of ripe lemon, pomelo, tropical fruits, in sync with his late harvest style.
