2002 Joseph Drouhin Meursault Premier Cru Charmes
DILEMMA
This article was analyzing the wine purely from a blind tasting type of scenario, very technical. Pleasure wise, it's quite enjoyable but it won't be as challenging as the technical aspect.
To my surprise, the wine was not as focused as I would expect, as Meursault wines I would normally expect a leaner and more focused palette. This wine, fruit wise, was scattered, very different from the typical Meursault that I knew of, perhaps from a negociant? I'm not sure. It's a learning curve anyway.
