2002 Trimbach Riesling Alsace Clos Sainte Hune
STUNNING
I hardly rate any Alsace Riesling this highly but this one simply impressed me, it was a borderline five stars as well.
Bouquet was elegant pear infused oak, with faint notes of multiple tropical fruits. The spotlight was on the palate, I can probably taste more than a hundred complex flavors in a sip, it was beyond words. The beauty was that, even though with such complexity, it wasn't a rich wine, and still remained a beautiful balance. It was truly rare experience to taste such a wine!
