I realized I'm starting to love all these Northern Rhone wines, as I find that the balance was showing across the board and not just specific labels.
Take for example this label, not a well known label, but the pleasantness and balance surprised me. Despite very fruit driven wine, loads of black fruits and Shiraz character, it provided the not overpowering palate that gives me a balanced perspective, easygoing and pleasant, despite higher than normal alcoholic content. Very enjoyable.
