2003 Haut Bailly Pessac Leognan
PUZZLED...
03 was a really hot vintage in Bordeaux, but this Haut Bailly exceeded my expectations completely that I thought I saw the wrong vintage on the label. First of all, the wine was so soft and pleasant on the palate that it didn't taste like an 03! Why? 03 was an extremely hot vintage, how can a hot vintage produce such a soft palate?
I really enjoyed the content very much, although the weakness (not exactly) was that it had raspberry and slight tannins which required 15 years to mellow down.
