2003 Pichon Lalande Pauillac
GOOD POTENTIAL
Moving on to a younger vintage of Pichon Lalande seemed like I was thrown a fruit bomb and it exploded right under my nose. The secondary/tertiary notes are still hiding and would still need a bit more time to come out.
The fruits on the nose were riper, almost jammy but not quite. Black currant and blackberries dominated, with spice and slightly woody on the nose. The palate was fresh and filled with the dark fruits and strong but smooth tannins.
