ICONIC DISASTER
La Tache, of all the vintages I’ve ever had, never once failed me. However, tonight it was casted with an evil spell. We have to acknowledge that 2004 wasn’t a great vintage for red burgundy, and certainly it was reflected on this iconic wine!
No doubt it possessed a great nose. But.... the palate was totally unbalanced and skewed towards acidity. Once famous for it’s ultimate balance, this myth was totally shattered tonight. The body had too much acidity, totally off balance!
