2004 Jean Claude Ramonet Montrachet Grand Cru
ULTIMATE MONTRACHET 5/12
In this series I will report the detailed tasting of 12 ultimate bottles of Montrachet 04, blind format, to find the King of Montrachet.
I found no Montrachet character in this glass, as I had very thin and skinny body, along with slight orange and decent layers, plus it didn’t evolve in the glass, and very focused, nothing of a Montrachet character. We don’t know when the bottle was broken, perhaps the sommelier replaced it with a top Meursault bottle. Only a speculation.
