2004 La Rioja Alta Viña Ardanza Reserva
PLEASANT
I always enjoyed having a bottle of Vina Ardanza for daily drinking, it almost never disappoint me.
As usual, the nose was substantially big; vanilla from the oak was the most primary character, followed closely by black currant and blueberries, mingled with spice.
Content was quite the opposite of the nose, as it is not showing itself as a big wine. Quite the contrary, it was really easy drinking, friendly and pleasant. Slightly elevated acidity and slightly diluted, otherwise, I'm happy.
