Although there wasn’t any Grand Cru in Meursault, the representative was usually Charmes or Genevrieres or Perrieres. Comtes Lafon was a great producer of Charmes, superb balance, with fresh acidity and soft fruits dominating the palate. I love the sharp and precise focus of the body, went extremely well with steamed oyster tonight!
