2005 Dominio Basconcillos Ribera Del Duero Vina Magna Crianza
PLEASURE
I had many chances to try Vina Magna from Crianza to Reserva, and now Grand Reserva, I must confess Grand Reserva is a league by itself whereby the lower ranked production has to play catch ups.
Nose of very ripe fruits, no fuss and frills. Palate was showing a huge wine, primarily big ripe fruits with very tannic underlying fruits (but not obvious). It's not the elegant type of wine, but it has the beauty of the big brawny fruits mingled with a bit wildness to it to make it a nice wine.
