2005 E. Guigal La Turque Cote Rotie

I can assure you, La Turque was the biggest and boldest wines amongst the three La La La (La Mouline, La Landonne and La Turque). To have maximum pleasure from the wine, I really urge people not to open a bottle that’s not ready to drink, just be patient and wait another 20 years. In my job, I taste all sorts of wines, so it’s a very good experiment to taste this wine young and get a glimpse of how it’ll evolve in the future. No surprise, the bouquet was big and beefy. The content even more so, huge and gigantic wine, big and bold, slightly sour and with a tinge of bitternesss, although the wine was fairly ripe. I definitely recommend not drinking these wines at this age, just be patient!
