2005 Maison Roche De Bellene Chassagne Montrachet 1er Les Vergets
MAKER KNOWLEDGE?
This was the first time I came across this winemaker Roche de Bellene, can someone please fill me in for more information? Apparently this Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru was up to my expectations.
Color of urine yellow, looked awful. But the nose was decent with some good oak (probably new oaks) mingled with lemon. Palate was initially unexciting and a bit flat, but slowly opened up and it took a full hour to wake up to very mellow and rich lush style, to my surprise!
