2005 Sociando Mallet Haut Medoc
I know it'll be a big wine, thus I did not hesitate to decant it. True enough, a nose and all I got was like entering a CAPSICUM PLATATION. Every note was green vegetal. A while later, the oaks took over, looks like this wine was heavily oaked. The palette was, eh, good balanced fruits but totally unbalanced tannins. I still felt the tannins after an hour after I have finished the wine. I have no doubt this is a 50 year old wine, but I prefer lesser tannins or oaks. This is way way way over doing.
