2006 Domaine Louis Remy Latricières Chambertin Grand Cru
BIG AND BOLD
I had a shock on my first sip of the wine not a typical light and flowery burgundy I normally come across. This one is almost over extracted with the fruits big and bold, with a broad stroke. Nose is strong and fruity, already reflected the content of the wine. Palette as mentioned, deep, dark core of over extracted huge dark cherry fruits, to the extent it tasted bitter. I'm not sure if this will tone down after some cellaring or not, I hoped it will.
