2006 Larrivet Haut Brion Pessac Leognan Blanc
A couple of years ago, I was invited by a customer who was opening a Japanese restaurant. He wanted me to recommend him some white wines, but at the time, I had no experience! I brought over 4 different white wines to blind taste together with the food. And to my surprise, Larrivet Haut Brion paired extremely well with a lot of the dishes.
Although Larrivet Haut Brion is quite a decent label for producing white wines, it cannot be compared to leagues like Haut Brion Blanc or Pavillon Blanc du Chateau Margaux. However, in terms of price range, it’s truly value for money. I personally liked this Larrivet Haut Brion a lot, as I find that it does not have a lot of elevated acidity, which makes pairing with Japanese food a pleasure.

A charming fruity wine. Well balanced, with a silky texture. Very enjoyable, even very young. I liked this label & Bdx whites. It's like lemon butter, with low acidity this far more approachable compared to white burgs.
