2006 Latour Pauillac de Latour
THIRD WINE
Pauillac de Latour was the third wine from Latour, after Grand Vin Latour and second wine Les Forts de Latour. Not many Bordeaux chateau can get to declassify their grapes for third label, this was a rare one, although quality was somehow also third class.
Raspberry nose with some vanilla oak, a bit reminiscent to Grand Vin (reusing oak barrels?). But palate and quality was nowhere close to even the second wine; light, diluted, ripe and forward, very easy drinking but don't expect much.
