2006 Marc Kreydenweiss Alsace Selections De Grains Nobles Clos Rebberg Pinot Gris
MARC KREYDERWEISS #2
I tasted 4 labels from this producer, mostly slightly above average performance, although I found the Pinot Gris very interesting and a league above other producers. Surprised from a relatively unknown producer from Alsace.
The nose was very interesting, rare for an Alsace: dry honey, charred honey, almost like some burnt wood.
Palate was almost like the nose, dry honeysuckle dominated, although a bit dry but at least it's not a dull Pinot Gris, decent fruits.
