2006 Philipponnat Clos des Goisses Brut

I was told this newcomer is up and coming in the crowded champagne field, although this was my first encounter.
Served blind, aged yeast, oxidation and slight nail varnish on the nose. I enjoyed the rich and extremely deep and flavorful tastes. Tasted fairly young and still with strong grip plus the giveaway rich mousse. My immediate response was a great vintage of either 04 or 06.
Next I decided it was a blend with mainly Pinot Noir, not bad, it was 65% Pinot Noir and 35% Chardonnay.
