2006 Smith Haut Lafitte Pessac Leognan Blanc

Since Carthaird family took over Smith Haut Lafitte in 1990, the winery was on fire. I keep seeing improvements every vintage since then. They've mastered the skill of making great reds and great whites.
This white was exceptional, very different from other Bordeaux whites, particularly on the palate whereby this was probably the SOFTEST Bordeaux Blanc I've ever had before. Typical of the low acidity of Bordeaux whites, flavor was rich and solid, I was still mesmerized by the soft palate.
