2006 Torbreck Descendant
NEW WORLD BLEND
I have never been great at new world wine, however my instinct is great. Upon serving a glass, my nose is already telling me it's a new world wine and Shiraz based with grassy character . Later I learned that it was a blend of Shiraz and Viognier, what a crazy blend!
It was decanted for 2+ hours, thus the wine had settled down being smooth and elegant. Huge wine style by old world standard, very sweet and minty as well. Not my cup of tea, definitely prefer finesse of old world wines!
