2007 Fontaine Gagnard Criots Bâtard Montrachet Grand Cru
Another bottle served double blind. However the bottle was a bit funky and only woke up at the end of dinner. Based on the caramel, funky pungent and some burnt fruits on the nose, while palette was soft, elegant, rich but then it faded fast and acidity surfaced (this is where my thought process stopped), thus initially I thought it was a Chevalier Montrachet. On hindsight I should've known this style should be Fontaine Gagnard signature style, quite a wasted opportunity to nail it!
