2007 Louis Carillon Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru Les Combettes
Second bottle that's served blind, comparing this bottle to Etienne Sauzet's Combettes I posted earlier, Carillon was slightly inferior. With my limited knowledge, I think Leflaive and Etienne Sauzet are the top producers of Combettes (correct me if I'm wrong).
Pretty refined oak, a bit like paper oak on the nose. Surprisingly it was quite an elegant and balanced wine, slightly bitter towards the finish. It does not have the intensity or boldness of Etienne Sauzet Combettes though.
