2007 Louis Roederer Cristal Brut
TOO YOUNG
It was surprising that such a young champagne showed up in a class of senior drinkers, and probably my first 2007 champagne anyway.
Consistent Cristal nose of fruitiness. Palate was sharp with accompanied elevated acidity, I hardly tasted any fruits in the champagne, more mousse and lemon, somehow creamy, defined precision. My walk away feel was that such champagne really needs age to perhaps mellow down, drinking it young was a total waste. Perhaps give it another 5 years.
