Talking about Piedmont wines, especially Barolo, it used to be an old school zone, they made wines that required decades to be ready, and this phenomenal still existed till perhaps the last decade. Times have changed, winemakers were more modern nowadays, I’ve tasted Barolo as young as 2 year old and was drinkable.
This Marchesi had long family history, it belonged mainly to old school although this Cannubi has turned slightly modern. Still tannic and dry paper taste, definitive Barolo.
