2007 San Vito Malmantico Santo del Chianti
SAUTERNES ALIKE
Of course not the first time that I have tasted a Vin Santo, but I always feel that it's almost a Sauternes sweet wine style, despite the fact that they're of quite different in terms of character. Aged in chestnut barrels, which yielded some artificially aged nose (which I do enjoy), very sweet and very creamy. Nice to pair it with a cream brûlee!
