2008 Chateau de Tracy Haute Densite Pouilly Fume
ALMOST A CHARDONNAY Tasted blind, I was certain it was a white burgundy both on the nose and the taste. Very rich, rounded, fruity, bold, albeit there's this elevated and sharp acidity that sent me scratching my head. However some burgundies also had elevated acidity when they're young. I totally didn't expect it to be a Savignon Blanc from the Loire Valley when the bottle was unveiled! Learned something new here; in a blind tasting, when certain character is in doubt, don't jump to conclusion too soon!
