2008 Chateau Hourtin Ducasse Haut Medoc De Bordeaux
SLIGHTLY BETTER This 2008 vintage was slightly better than my earlier post of the 2011 vintage. However I still don't agree with the pricing for this 2008. Same nose profile of stagnant water in the drain, but not as bad as 2011, alongside with woods character. 2008 had more characters on the palette: very fruity, very chewy as well, ripe, pleasant, elegant, and nonetheless, a very simple wine with no complexity at all.
