2008 Domaine Leflaive Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru Les Pucelles
BEWARE OF BRAND NAME
Leflaive almost never failed in any category, and Pucelles was one of the most expensive labels from this producer amongst all the premier crus, vastly disappointed me in this vintage.
For some unknown reasons (that I didn't bother to find out), Leflaive consistently disappointed me since 08 in many categories. Served blind in a flight of 3, this was extremely rich and acidic, very fruity but masked behind acidity. It lacked weight on the palate and very toned down. Disappointed.
