2009 Chateau Kirwan Margaux Grand Cru Classe
Moderately saturated ruby. Out of a decanter, fairly forward blackberry and floral nose, but the body is light and the wine shows little until some really grippy tannins and acidity appear and bring the wine to a screeching halt. A highly structured Margaux. Smell of alcohol, clinical, funky for 09. Sharpness, again not quite in balance, very dry & tannic. Not well made.
