With a bit more age, the 2009 was showing way better than its 2014 vintage, but it still seemed closed and sleepy. According to the person, they just flew in the wines so that may be a factor as to why the wines seemed really tired during the event.
Nevertheless, this was more fragrant with blackberry, red berry, spice and vanilla. The palate showed similar fruits with grippy tannins and good finish. Too bad it wasn't showing its best though, or it might have been a more memorable wine.
