2009 Francois Mikulski Meursault 1er Charmes
A Different Balance
Surprisingly it was fresh acidity right from the start, very subdued fruits lying in the background. Really could not compare to the Miluski Meursault Perrieres, which was much more balanced in terms of acidity and fruit. The Charmes was full of acidity, but the fruits was not pronounced at all, very background. However, on the second day it was much more buttery on the nose and pleasant on the palette, I guess the oxidation did a little good to the Charmes. I’d still prefer the Perrireres, so I’d vote for Mikulski being a better producer of Meursault when it comes to Perrieres plot.
