This is a auction charity event on a yearly basis, being organized by Christie’s auction house based in London. The buyer will submit a bid for a barrel of the wine of his choice, and an assigned winemaker, normally respectable, will see through the chain of production.
Although tendered by the same winemaker Pierre Andre, compared to my previous report, this bottle was a step down. Still massive and masculine, not quite a 2009 character. It’ll probably take years to mellow down.
