2009 Hubert de Montille Pommard Rugiens 1er Cru
WINE OF MANY FACES
Every sip I took, this wine gave me a different dimension. It gets even more complicated when I had different food! Started off with a bit charred, a bit creamy, and then it exploded and sent me to heaven. A while later, I had all the bad notes of a poor burgundy; skinny, dry tobacco leaves. I really cannot grasp the actual true color of this wine, so I'm not going to continue to confuse my audiences. Except that I must admit Hubert Montille was a very talented winemaker.
