2009 Jean Philippe Fichet Puiligny Montrachet 1er Cru Les Referts
SURPRISED!
Fichet wasn't a big name white burgundy producer, at best just an average producer. However this Les Referts took my heart by storm, totally didn't expect an underdog to perform so well! For once I didn't vote Carillon's Referts (obviously one of the best) sitting next to Fichet as my top wine! Nose was balanced, good oak, suspected used oak, long and layered (unique!)It was real a classic white with extremely rich style, backward as well. In this blind I mistaken it as a Chevalier Monty!
