2009 Louis Carillon Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru Les Champs Canet
Louis Carillon is known to produce very decent quality of Champs Canet. I was lucky to chanced upon two different vintages recently, namely the 07 & 09. Frankly I preferred the 09 although 07 was no way inferior in comparison. It's a personal preference as I prefer richer and fruitier style.
Obvious mineral, steely nose along with lemon skin, along with very fragrance bouquet. Very rich fruits (to my liking), very oily, slight lemon, slight pomelo, faint lychee.
