2009 Lucien Le Moine Puligny Montrachet Les Ensignier
LIEU DIT
This means it was a village level wine but with the right to name the plot where it came from, coz normally village level wines are mainly generic grapes that can come from any part of the region. Obviously Lucien Le Moine is an upcoming star in burgundy. Even the village level was not shabby. Served blind, nose of slight butter and burned butter. Surprisingly rich, fruity, decent acidity, lemony and buttery, definitely exceeded a village level production. Such is from a big name producer.
