2009 Maison Roche de Bellene Meursault Premier Cru Genevrieres
SURPRISED FINALE
Roche de Bellene changed hand, the new owner was the well known Nicholas Potel who produced a killer Clos de la Roche. Amongst the 13 bottles of Meursault Genevrieres, this stood out to be the clear winner, although wasn't a 5 or even a 4.5 stars award by me.
I liked it for it's transparent, faint and clear buttery nose. Despite some sugarcane which implied advanced maturity, it didn't bother me too much, perhaps for the lack of choice, that I had to choose it as my wine of the night.
