2009 Mas de Daumas Gassac Blanc
SURPRISE OUTCOME
I was having a long face as I bought a case of this wine by accident, as I thought it was a red, failing to see the word Blanc! Thank goodness I totally enjoyed the wine tonight, which was surprising for a Languedoc white with a couple of grape varietals; Chardonnay, Viognier, Petit Manseng, Chenin Blanc. Almost a burgundy style, with warm summer flowers and morphed into mandarin orange later. Palate was pleasing, very flavorful and nothing harsh, much better than a Bordeaux Blanc!
