2009 Torbreck RunRig Barossa Valley
People who knew me knew that I was hardly impressed with Aussie wines. I beg to differ, I try to be fair to every wine I drink regardless of region of production. I must say this is a very well produced fine wine. Very Shiraz style, full of violet notes and dark berries on the nose. I liked the elegance (normally Aussie wines are big), very approachable, and most importantly the fruits are pure. Apart from Penfolds Grange, this's the second Aussie red that I was impressed with.
