In a blindtasting of 2009 Verget wines from Pommard and Beaune, this Arvelets wine, which is found further north than Rugiens was good, but still did not have the same finesse and potential as Rugiens.
There was a mask of pungent smell at the start that disappeared as quickly as it came. Combination of red and black fruits such as strawberry and black cherry was popping on the nose as well as spice. Extremely chewy fruits dominated the palate. It's better than the Saucilles as it lasted longer
