2010 Banfi Brunello di Montalcino
USED TO BE GOOD. I remembered Banfi use to produce very decent Brunello di Montalcino, but since American company took over (correct me if I'm wrong), the standard has dropped significantly.
It tried to use an overwhelming amount of (cheap) oak to create vanilla smell. It's a very light body wine, pleasant but weak. I find that it hardly had any structure in the body itself, thus I concluded that it doesn't have any aging potential unlike many other BdM 2010 which should be age worthy for a great vintage.
