Bumped into a hard core Italian winemaker, was offered a glass of his X wine. Why X? He wouldn’t want to reveal what’s the 20% grapes he used for the blend apart from the 80% Merlot in the wine. He was trying to explain to me his winemaking style, but the heavily accented Italian got me confused, especially on a noisy floor. Nose was very medicinal. Palate was extremely sweet, suspect it was made of dried grapes as the raisins were so strong and intense. Only 3725 bottles made.
