2010 Chateau des Jacques Côte du Py Morgon
BEAUJOLAIS SAGA 2/5
This label, bought over by Louis Jadot in 1996, the first burgundy house to own a major Beaujolais vineyard. I guess the reason for a burgundy house to buy Beaujolais was the similarity of the taste of Beaujolais wines compared to Burgundy.
This was a really old style and classic winemaking; beefy taste dominated the glass, strong, thick, structured, ripe cherries and slight dirt. They were aged in older barrels, understandably they produced classic wines.
