2010 Chateau Kirwan Margaux Grand Cru Classe
Moderately saturated ruby. Out of a decanter, fairly forward blackberry and floral nose, but the body is light and the wine shows little until some really grippy tannins and acidity appear and bring the wine to a screeching halt. A highly structured Margaux. Loads of dark fruit, very fruit driven, can easily be mistaken as 09. Not quite in harmony, too much acidity, dry & still massive tannins.
